Is Disneyland magical?

We had went to Disneyland Paris over Feb Half term. We took a flight from Heathrow, the flight journey is about 50 minutes long, and we had missed the train by 5 mins and waited an hour for the next one, we bought the tickets on Train line and it took 10 minutes to get to Marne la Vallee Chessy. Disneyland was on the right hand side when exiting the station.

Headed to Marvel Hotel which was about 15 minute walk from the station, dropped off our luggage in the lobby area for storage until our room was ready and collected our pass which was the key to our hotel and had our fully board meals plans. You can also have the QR code through the app too.

I found using the key card to tap into the parks were so much easier to use like an oyster card compared to phones as there was bit of delay at the entrance to recognise, despite their internet speed were amazing. Everything was quick to load and search it truly felt like 5g speed.

I love Disney and had always found it magical, my boys aren’t as big fans as I am, which is why I’m glad the park had marvel theme rides and characters.

I saved a lot of time in not having to queue for meet and greet character. The only one we had went to was to meet Spiderman which you can do a virtual queue which should be implemented throughout the whole park because it saves so much time!

The rides are great for all varied adventurers, I love big roller-coaster, my other half and youngest prefer their feet on the land 😅 my eldest is willing to try which is amazing because I grabbed him to go on the rides with me but I sort of scared him after a couple of the big thrill ones. Queues for rides varied. It’s always best to start in the morning make use of magic hour as we had went on 10 rides by lunch time.

The afternoon we spent watching the shows to recover out feet, the show was mostly French, there were some that was English. The app tells you what time the shows start too. I loved the shows you won’t get them in UK.

After dinner, we had started to queue to watch the drone and firework show. Entertained the boys with phones app games and snacks.

The show is hard to enjoy for short people, best try to get at the front so you are not blocked by taller people. For adults we can manage but for the kids it was bit difficult and complains will come.

After the show we had left around 10.30 and got back to our hotel room about 10.50pm we were knackered and the boys slept so quickly on their double bed while I was awake to 1am in awe of everything that happened in the day.

The food was decent we had quite a few favourite restaurants. We had full board meals so make use of table dining options as they were expensive compared to buffet meals or take out style meals. Plus you get to relax a little, service was amazing in all restaurants we dined at, friendly and speaks English, payment was through the key card, felt like using a credit card. Anything over the designated meals would be paid extra.

The boys are old enough to demand toys we did give them an allowance to spend for souvenirs which was £20 and they managed to get one item. It is expensive shopping in there.

The hotel was absolutely stunning, the decor was amazing I was in awe of the artwork around the hotel. The room was very modern and facilities of gym, indoor and out swimming pool and the kids club was very clean too.

To summarise the trip was magical for me, the boys enjoyed another theme park, was it worth it? I would go again and to other parks around the world. The boys probably would prefer Legoland more than Disneyland. I would definitely recommend to do at least once.
