Sichuan at Chilli Cool

Darker nights are here, colder weather means comfort food in need. Just behind Brunswick Centre lies a restaurant always with steamed windows. Chilli cool is a sichuan restaurant which serves hot pot, a must recommend during winter periods! I went to try out their lovely set menu with a friend and we had such a good catch up and good food too. The set menu served was a spicy set, there are options for non-spicy too.

The set menu consists of 9 small dishes, boba skewers, noodles and jelly desserts for £48.80 which I believe is reasonable given the location.

The food was fulfilling, and it tasted amazing, even the fried spring rolls and dumplings were packed with flavour and not overcooked.

The meat dishes do have some bone, so you have to be slightly mindful when eating it.

The noodles were my favourite and the jelly dessert was a perfect way to cool the numbing from sichuan and not overly sweet. Perfect Chinese cuisine to have when you are in a Russell Square, I need to go check out their Uxbridge branch soon 😊
